The Ministry of Culture, Language, and Youth is contributing to this new Vaca Films production for Netflix with a €300,000 grant for its filming in numerous Galician locations.

Obradoiro Square and the surroundings of the Cathedral of Santiago are hosting several days of filming. Luis Tosar and Tristán Ulloa star in this period miniseries based on the true story of Romasanta, the first documented serial killer in Spain.

The 2026 edition is published in digital and physical formats, featuring six new works directed by Juan Lorenzo Loureiro, Zahira Teijelo, Iria Silvosa, David Fidalgo, Bea Lema, and Ángel Suanzes, as well as three short films in development.

As in previous years, the professional market of the French festival of Clermont-Ferrand, which kicks off this Monday the 2nd, marks the beginning of the international dissemination of this selection as a reflection of the quality of Galician production in this field.

The Galician filmmaker presents the feature film 'Deuses de pedra' this Thursday as part of a special that includes three short films and an interactive piece.

The Lebanese director based in Galicia, Feyrouz Serhal, is the curator of a 10-session series on cinema from her country, which kicks off on the 13th with her film "Maroun Returns to Beirut." The Swiss-American filmmaker and photographer Rudy Burckhardt is featured in a selection of 27 16 mm short films.

'Dímelo en secreto' and the second season of 'Punto Nemo' have already completed filming, while during 2026 our Community will receive the equipment for the miniseries 'Lobo' and the films 'Operación Camarón 2,' 'Pínkala,' and 'Serenade.'

Led by both Galician and foreign producers, these projects receive grants of up to €350,000 to guarantee at least 20 days of filming on Galician sets with a minimum spending of between €1M and €1.5M.

The Secretary of Culture, Language, and Youth, José López Campos, accompanies the feature film team at this special screening at the Tamberlick Cinemas, ahead of its release in theaters on January 1st.

For its filming in various locations throughout Pontevedra, with The Guard as its epicenter, it received a €300,000 grant through the fund for attracting film productions convened by the regional government.

The first screening in Galicia of the latest film by Anxos Fazáns welcomes the public tonight, and "Así chegou a noite," by Ángel Santos, will be the closing film, two titles produced with a grant from the Ministry of Culture, Language and Youth.
