Galician audiovisual producers will be able to apply for a new call for project development grants, with a budget of 1.2 million euros, aimed at boosting the preparation of future films and series. The main new feature of this edition is the creation of a specific category for the submission of packages of three or four projects, for which €900,000 is reserved. The remaining €300,000 will be allocated to individual projects. This approach seeks to facilitate medium-term planning by companies, optimizing resources and promoting the continuity of activity and employment in the sector. The grants will cover various expenses associated with the initial stages of projects, such as personnel costs, advice and consulting, script and music development, preparation of preliminary materials, or participation in specialized forums and markets.Individuals or legal entities established as independent audiovisual producers with at least one year of uninterrupted activity may apply. The maximum amounts vary depending on the project type: up to €30,000 for animated feature films and fiction or animation series; up to €25,000 for fiction feature films; and up to €20,000 for documentary series and feature films. The call will be resolved through competitive selection and is co-financed with FEDER funds under the Galicia 2021-2027 program. The deadline to submit applications will remain open until August 24, 2026. This line of funding represents an opportunity to strengthen the early stages of Galician audiovisual projects, advance their creative and financial viability, and improve their positioning for future calls for production, co-production, and filming.
