Galicia once again becomes the setting for an international co-production with the filming of Pínkala, the new feature film by Juanjo Giménez, which is shooting much of its footage on location in Vigo and Tomiño.The film is produced by the Galician company Frida Films in co-production with the Lithuanian producer M-Films and stars Pol López and María Leite. After several weeks of work in Galicia, the team is now facing the final phase of filming before completing part of the production in Lithuania.Vigo serves as the story's main setting and features various sequences in different locations around the city. Among them is a scene filmed at the Marítima Port, which was transformed to recreate an airport security checkpoint. The team also plans to work at the former Vigo courthouse, in addition to traveling to an indoor location in Tomiño.The Vigo City Council is collaborating with the production on permit processing, location scouting, and the use of municipal spaces, facilitating the development of a shoot that will last several weeks in the city. A Story About Vulnerability and CarePínkala tells the story of Sam, a man with an extreme sensitivity to stimuli who lives practically isolated. The arrival of a new person in his surroundings disrupts his balance and leads him to begin a process of personal transformation.
