Cape Ortegal's lighthouse

Add to my bookmark list

The lithological complex of cape Cabo Ortegal shapes a spectacular environment crowned by the presence of the lighthouse at 125 meters above sea level. From the base of the lighthouse, you can appreciate the grandeur of the O Limo cliffs to the west and the islets known as Os Aguillóns to the east, seemingly extending the cape and marking the symbolic division of waters between the Atlantic Ocean and the Cantabrian Sea. Towards the east, in the distance, you can glimpse Estaca de Bares, the northernmost point of the Iberian Peninsula: the north of the north.
