This lighthouse is perched on Cape Touriñán, a diamond-shaped promontory jutting almost a kilometer into the sea over granite cliffs. Located in the municipality of Muxía, right on the Costa da Morte, these cliffs present a substantial drop, reaching up to 93 meters in height. The area is known for its strong waves. At this cape, there are two lighthouses—one ancient and square, the other modern and cylindrical.
