Premises of Afundación in A Coruña

Add to my bookmark list

The building housing the headquarters of Afundación is a project by the British architect Nicholas Grimshaw. It stands as a cutting-edge work that enhances the architectural heritage of the city of A Coruña. Its design evokes the shape of a sea wave crest that extends into the Cantones area, culminating in a backlit glass facade, reinterpreting the characteristic galleries of the Marina. Conceived as a reference socio-cultural center, its 7,692 square meters host spaces for exhibitions, performances, symposiums, lectures, and a wide range of activities and workshops. It also features its own café and an auditorium with 280 seats.
