The former prison of the judicial district of Lugo was inaugurated in 1887 and was in use until its permanent closure in 1981. Today, it has been transformed into a sociocultural space with various rooms suited to host all kinds of events. Exhibitions, concerts, plays, conferences, and congresses are regularly scheduled here. It is owned by the City Council of Lugo.
