Located on Punta do Muíño in Alcabre, this museum was conceived as a dedicated space to the sea. It is an ambitious cultural and scientific project inaugurated in June 2002, designed by the Italian architect Aldo Rossi in collaboration with Galician architect César Portela. The complex consists of three buildings that complement each other, surrounded by outdoor spaces offering beautiful views of the Vigo estuary. Additionally, visitors can explore the Punta do Muíño do Vento Castro, a partially museumized Iron Age settlement that was inhabited from the 8th century B.C. to the 1st century A.D.
