Located at the southern end of the Salnés region, it is one of the most famous sandy stretches in Galicia. It features an extensive area of dunes that separates the beach from the coastal road. At one of its ends, we find a small rocky peninsula that is home to the chapel-hermitage of A Lanzada. This beach is known for its strong waves. It has good access and parking available at various points along the shoreline. Due to its size, it belongs to two municipalities: O Grove and Sanxenxo. It is part of the natural protected area under the Red Natura 2000 network.
