Castro Caldelas is perched on a hill overlooking the banks of the Edo River. This town features charming white galleries and noteworthy houses reminiscent of its medieval grandeur. The old town of Castro Caldelas was declared a historical-artistic ensemble in 1998. It primarily includes the streets ascending towards the Castle of the Counts of Lemos: the Rúa do Sol street and the Rúa Grande street. These cobbled streets follow the medieval layout and showcase fascinating stone houses with galleries and coats of arms.
