Baiona

The old town of Baiona was declared a set of historical and artistic interest by the Directorate General of Heritage of the Xunta de Galicia in 1993, coinciding with the celebration of the 5th Centenary of the Arrival. Baiona was and continues to be a significant town due to its port, where the caravel Pinta arrived after the discovery of America. The cobbled streets showcase numerous stately homes, temples, and churches. This seafaring town is rich in history.
