Carlos, José Luis and Enrique, three friends who are students in their last year at the Escuela Naval de Marín, confront each other over love issues. When Carlos meets María Rosa, the daughter of a fishing shipowner, he falls in love with her and forgets Dorita Beltrán, an artist with whom he was having an affair.
Soon after, Dorita arrives in Vigo to perform, meets Carlos' friends and decides to seduce José Luis to take revenge on her former lover.
Carlos, determined to get rid of the artist completely, goes to her dressing room, but José Luis surprises them and breaks the friendship between them.
In 1960 a new adaptation of José Luis de Azcárraga's novel was made, starring the Dúo Dinámico.
