A Guarda was the epicenter of its filming in 2024, which also extended to the municipalities of Baiona, Oia, Tui, and Vigo. To carry it out, it received a grant of 300,000 euros from the fund launched by the Xunta de Galicia and co-financed by the European Union under the Galicia Feder 2021-2027 Program, with the aim of attracting film productions to our Community from both Galician and other Spanish and European producers."Rondallas," which premiered last September at the San Sebastián Film Festival and will be released in theaters on January 1, marks the return to cinema for director and writer Daniel Sánchez Arévalo, following the success of his films "Blue Dark Almost Black," "Cousins," and "Seventeen," among others. It is a life-affirming comedy for all audiences, which tells how a small fishing village comes together to recover its rondalla, after two years of mourning the tragic sinking of one of its fishing boats. The goal is to compete in a contest against other neighboring towns, but above all, to start looking forward with hope again.
