The 19th edition of the professional pitching event I+P, Ideas para Producir, organized by the Galician Audiovisual Cluster and sponsored by the Regional Government of Galicia, is taking place today at the Coruña Estudio Inmersivo (CEI) with the participation of around a hundred industry professionals. Seventeen projects are being presented to representatives from television networks, platforms, and distributors in the hope of gaining support.
The meeting was opened by Alfonso Blanco, president of the Cluster, and featured the participation of Jacobo Sutil, director of the Galician Agency for Cultural Industries, who highlighted the role of I+P in his speech: "This forum has proven to be an excellent opportunity for companies and creators from around the country to present their proposals in a carefully curated environment with the strong support of the Regional Ministry of Culture, Language, and Youth." He also underscored the Galician government's commitment to sustained and internationalized audiovisual development, expressing his gratitude for the trust placed in the producers who attend this annual pitching event.
More than €6.5 million for the sector in 2026
He also gave a positive assessment of a year of Galician audiovisual presence at festivals, film shoots, and markets, and revealed some of the figures forecast for the coming year in terms of subsidies in this area. "The Galician government will continue to support the sector in all phases of production, for which an investment of more than €6.5 million is already planned for 2026," he said.">Some of the planned subsidy allocations he detailed were €3.5 million for production and co-production, €2 million for attracting film shoots, €310,000 for film festivals, €300,000 for the development of the initial phases of projects, and €176,000 for the promotion of talent.
Professional meetings throughout the day
After the opening ceremony, I+P Ideas para Producir held its central block of quick presentations on the CEI's virtual set, in which mainly Galician production companies presented their projects to representatives of some twenty key companies in the industry, including RTVE, Prime Video, Movistar Plus+, Mediaset, Atresmedia, DeAPlaneta, Zeta Studios, Filmax, Portocabo, and Siete Media. In addition to the individual presentations, the session included bilateral meetings aimed at promoting agreements for production, co-production, and content distribution. Projects of different formats and genres participated in this pitching session, including the animated feature films Nora y la dama de Anboto (Abano Producións); fiction films Muere con estilo (Die With Style) (Avendaño Estudio), Lobos y corderos (Congo Producciones), Casus Belli (Mc Guffin Estudio Audiovisual), #elreto (Orlok Films) and Todos están muertos (Smiz and Pixel); and the documentary feature films La ciudad más fría (Filmakers Monkeys), Rumbo a las estrellas (Meteórica Cine) and Golpear a un coloso (Recrea Films).
The series section included the fiction proposals Spectrus (Arrivelo Producciones), Paco Jones… Yo! (Producións A Fonsagrada-Filmax) and Jesús & Eva (Tourmalet Films), as well as the animated series Becho (Artyc Content), Jesterina (Blend Studios), and Lola, Porco & Paco (Undodez Producións). The selection was completed by the fiction miniseries Galdra-Jóvenes dragones (Borboligón Filmes) and the docuseries Incalculable (Tamboura Films).
The activity is part of a professional program that began yesterday, Thursday, with three sessions dedicated to new technologies applied to production, emerging financing channels, and content strategies for platforms and television. Among these, the presentation of the features of the Coruña Immersive Studio itself stood out, as it is hosting the I+P event for the first time.
