Constructed in 1853 at an elevation of 139 meters above sea level, this lighthouse holds the distinction of being the westernmost in Europe. It's part of an interesting lighthouse complex comprising three buildings: the lighthouse and the foghorn, which are connected and serve as signal structures, and a separate building known as the 'Semáforo' (The Traffic Light), also used for signaling. The 'Semáforo' is situated at a higher elevation than the others and currently serves as a tourist inn.
