This lighthouse dates back to 1850 and is perched on the tip of Estaca de Bares, standing at over 90 meters above sea level on a plateau known as Ventueiro. In the 19th-century, it served as a maritime observation point, signaling ships with flags and lights. Additionally, it functioned as a military post, meteorological station, and communication base. At an elevation of over 200 meters, it offers truly remarkable panoramic views.
