Cementerio de los Ingleses (Cemetery of the British)

Add to my bookmark list

The origin of this cemetery dates back to the shipwreck of the British training ship The Serpent in 1890, where only three out of 175 crew members survived. Due to the scale of the tragedy, the victims from the British Navy were laid to rest near the site of the disaster. Located at Punta do Boi, right on the Costa da Morte, it is part of the European route of unique cemeteries
