Baroña's hillfort

This Iron Age hillfort is situated on the shores of the Muros and Noia estuary, on a small rocky peninsula known as Punta do Castro. Surrounded by the sea and overlooking Baroña Beach, it is one of the few preserved hillforts based on a maritime economy. With nearly 20 houses and a wall spanning 2.5 hectares, it provides a unique glimpse into ancient coastal living.
