Cans is a Galician short film festival that combines cinema and music, transforming the village into a vibrant and unique space each year. During the event, unconventional venues like cellars, barns, basements, garages, or old, abandoned houses are transformed into screening rooms, while signs on construction sites, chicken coops, or plots of land host musical performances and side activities. The festival creates a unique atmosphere where the audience moves frantically in chimpins—small, domestic tractors—between different venues, reminiscent of scenes from a Kusturica film. Cans bets on creativity, community participation, and the promotion of Galician audiovisual production, while offering an intimate and interactive cultural experience where cinema, music, and village spirit converge to create an interdisciplinary festival that combines tradition, innovation, and fun for all ages.
